报告摘要:The accuracy of traditional credit assessment can be improved by consideration of corporate social behavioral data. Social interactions form social capital, which also plays an important role in credit evaluation. Hence, we theoretically develop and empirically test a model of the influence of corporate social activities on credit based on social capital theory. Using data from 14,544 corporations, we find that corporate social activities (questions, posts, and comments) have a significant effect on credit. Degree centrality and betweenness centrality also mediate the relationship of the number of corporate questions and posts with credit. We extend the literature on non-financial factors related to corporate credit and discuss the implications for managers.
